McClure Art - Choice Exhibtion

My work shall be part of the exhibition Choice The Whitespace in Edinburgh next week, 23rd - 28th November, drinks reception 1-2pm Sat 24th Nov. The exhibition is a selection of recent Scottish based Art Graduates, selected by contemporary Scottish art dealers McClure Art.

I am very fond of this large painting of Westport Beach (Kintyre). Due to its large size and downsizing home/moving to London, I need to sell this painting.

The piece is framed with wooden mount - size 90 x 170 cm £950.

Walk 14/11/2012

It is time I updated my blog - and start working on my art again. This morning I decided to talk a walk to my favorite place, the beaches at Southend on the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula. 

I have some pre-made jesso (rabbit skin glue) coated boards ready to use, starting with some washy seaweed watercolours.

Graduate

I am now a Graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of art and design, Dundee University. I graduated with BA (Hons) Fine Art, upper second class. I am very proud of my acchievement and my recent job offer with Chrsitie's the Fine Art Auctioneers. I am very much looking forward to starting my new position in the Contemporary Indian Art department.

Kitchen Lithograph

Rosslyn Oman and myself recently made an attempt at producing 'Kitchen Lithos' - still mastering the process! 

Drawing on the tinfoil plates with soap, crayon and watercolour pencil.
